Toward the end of my pregnancy, my belly started to itch like crazy! This is due to the skin becoming so stretched out which triggers the itchy sensation on your skin. There’s also another cause for this which is brought about by a rash on your belly called PUPPP (Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy) that comes about in the stretch marks and stretching skin of the belly late in pregnancy.
The product I found to be the most relieving was Coconut Oil! Not only did this help resolve my itchy belly (temporarily, of course, until the next dose of oil was put on), but it makes your skin so soft and smooth. It’s also a natural oil so I know it’s safe for myself and my baby during pregnancy. Just rub a good helping of oil on your belly and watch the magic happen.

There are so many versatile uses for coconut oil- this stuff is like gold. I use it as my makeup remover, skin moisturizer for myself and my daughter, used it to treat my baby’s cradle cap and diaper rash, and cooking.
