Setting Goals for Healthy Eating and Diet

by | Jun 9, 2020

Since starting my new diet, Always Eat After 7pm, I’ve actually begun shedding pounds quickly! Even though I am eating freely, I actually feel lighter and the scale doesn’t lie! I lost 3lbs in a week!

I love that I can still indulge in my favorite foods, but just opting for more of the healthier versions of it.

The book offers optimal food and meal suggestions and substitutions, as well as plenty of healthy recipes. This gives you direct guidance into eating wholesome meals to feel better about indulging in snacks.

The Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet was a recipe favorite in our house! We will definitely be using that one again.

I’ve also learned how to substitute healthier versions of my typical go-to snacks or foods. For example, looking for yogurt with less added sugar, using almond butter instead of peanut butter, and opting for lean proteins like chicken breast or thighs instead of processed chicken fingers or fried chicken.

In the current times that we are living in, being stuck inside, I’ve been trying to cook healthy meals for my family.

Always Eat After 7PM has so many options that we all enjoy and gives me a place to start when meal planning for the week.

I love that I can eat carbs with this diet because that is such a hard food to limit with my lifestyle.

The book even states that “Having carbs in the evening is also a great weight loss strategy. When you’re active, your body burns mainly carbohydrates and muscle glycogen for energy. By eating carbs at night, you allow your body to use them to restore glycogen for energy the next day and provide your body with the glucose it needs to regulate your blood sugar levels during sleep.”
