Wrapping Up the Healthy Eating Challenge with Always Eat After 7pm

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been striving to follow all the guidelines in Joel Marion’s book, Always Eat After 7PM. I’ve lost the 5lbs that I was striving to get off and am working on maintaining this diet as a new healthy lifestyle for our whole family. 

Even the ideals noted here made me realize that my children should be eating what we eat and no longer binging only on processed chicken nuggets and Mac and cheese. I’m so happy to have this guide to follow as a complete lifestyle switch.

Changing our eating rituals

This diet worked so well for us because we stay up late after the kids go to bed and like to indulge in our late night cravings. Then, in the morning we typically don’t eat until lunch time. The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. 

By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This also puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis.

You don’t have to give up that much

I loved having a plan to stick to that doesn’t take my favorite foods away from me. If I had the choice to give up my guilty pleasures (like chocolate and Doritos) or skip breakfast, I would choose to skip breakfast in a heartbeat!
