If you’re expecting a new baby in the near future, you’ve probably been trying to come up with some fresh ideas for decorating the nursery.
While it can be a little stressful to create the perfect space for your little one, try to relax and it will all come together soon!
Creating Your Nursery
The first thing you want to do is to decide which room in the house you will make the nursery. This may be easy for some if there’s only one option. However, you want to examine every space in your house to see which room would make the most sense.
A baby doesn’t need a tremendous amount of space early on, so if you’d rather keep your office or guest room in a larger room, that may make sense.
Choosing the Colors
Next, decide on your color scheme. You may go back and forth between colors for awhile, but try not to let this overwhelm you!
My go-to mantra for creating new rooms or spaces in my home is to make everything a neutral color and use accent colors throughout the room.
I typically paint a room a light grey or taupe as a neutral base. I choose white, ivory, or light grey furniture, frames, lighting, etc.
Then I use the brighter color for accent pieces like bedding, pillows, knick-knacks, and wall decor.
It’s always easy to change out accent pieces than furniture and wall paint!
Ideas for Nursery Decor

Hopefully some of these handmade Etsy items will draw some inspiration:
