An average Disney guest walks around eight to ten miles per day – seriously – and, depending on when you visit, you may be walking in some serious heat. Kids get exhausted, and the last thing you want to do is hear them cry.
Having a stroller gives your child a place to relax and sit in some shade while eating some snacks. Young kids take naps in their stroller without needing to head back to the hotel room.
Most importantly, strollers keep kids safe. If you have a child who tends to run, then a stroller keeps everyone safe without losing a child as people try to leave at the same time.
Can You Bring Your Own Stroller to Disney?
Yes, you can bring your own stroller to Disney, as long as it follows their stroller policy. Typically, it’s advised to bring your own stroller if you are driving to Disney. A lot of people who fly simply rent a stroller there.
As you walk around Disney, keep in mind that there are designated spaces to park your stroller all through Magic Kingdom and other parks. Never just leave it anywhere. If you don’t, a cast member may move it, but it’s best to do this yourself.
Also, you can take strollers on the buses, but they have to be folded. The monorails and some of the boats allow you to keep a stroller open without taking your child in and out.
However, some parents note that taking a double stroller on and off a bus is quite a hassle, and it may be worth renting the stroller or driving to and from the Disney parks.
Also, something else to know is that you can take strollers on elevators and ramps, but not escalators.

Strollers must be a maximum of 31 inches wide and 52 inches in length. Since double strollers are larger, you have to make sure yours meet these dimensions.
When you enter Disney (both Disneyland and Walt Disney World), there are printed boxes on the ground to see if your stroller fits the regulations. The good news is that most double strollers and single strollers on the market fit these dimensions, so don’t stress too much.
2. No More Stroller Wagons
Unfortunately for parents of multiple children, traditional pull-wagons aren’t permitted. This is a huge bummer for parents with big kids who liked the versatility of a wagon.
Disney has had this rule for quite awhile, but parents were using the Keenz stroller wagons to get around the rule, since they are pushed like a stroller.

Single strollers cost $15 per day or $13 per day for longer lengths of stay. Double stroller rentals cost $31 for a single day or $27 for multiple days.
You will need a $100 credit card deposit to rent any strollers, and it’s also important to remember that all rented Disney strollers cannot be taken out of the parks and Disney Springs.
However, you’ll find several different stroller rental companies around Disney, so if these are above your price points, I suggest you give them a call.

How to Pick the Best Double Stroller for Disney World or Disney Land

Portability
Whenever you use Disney transportation, your children have to come out of the stroller, and it needs to be folded. Ideally, the stroller should be easy to fold; you don’t want to be stuck fumbling to close it.
Some even have a carry strap to make it easier to pick up. It should have a compact fold, especially if you need it to fit in your trunk as you drive to and from Disney.
Ideally, it should be lightweight because a heavy stroller is hard to pick up and down. It’s also harder to take heavy stroller through airports if you’re flying down to Disney World.
Easy to Maneuver

It has one large sun shade that provides full coverage, but it would be nice if the shades were separate for each seat. There even is a little peek-a-boo window on the top of the sunshade so you can keep an eye on your babies with it open.
However, if you’re looking for an all-terrain double stroller, the Joovy Scooter X2 is not the one for you. It won’t be able to handle rough or thick terrain well.
Luckily, Disney is all pretty smooth terrain.
3. Baby Jogger City Mini GT2
If you have a bigger price range, the Baby Jogger City Mini is one of the leading double strollers on the market. It is easy to fold, and once folded, it is compact and remains self-standing!
Both seats are independently adjusted, along with foot rests, canopies, and recline angles. Chances are you have two kids with different ages, so this allows you to make sure both are comfortable.
One nice thing is that reclining seat goes to a nearly flat position, so if you have little infants, you will appreciate this. You simply pull the back drawstring and the whole back reclines down.
Baby Jogger added rubber tires with smooth suspension to this stroller, so it’s great for all different terrain. The hand-operated brake adds an extra safety feature. The adjustable handlebar slides to fit different heights to make pushing it comfortable for parents.
However, the Baby Jogger City Mini is expensive, and all accessories are sold separately. For example, even the cup holders are sold separately, and the storage basket is a bit on the smaller size.
4. Baby Trend Sit n Stand Ultra Stroller
Baby Trend has been the leading Sit n Stand Stroller on the market for many years. It has great storage, a budget-friendly price tag, and extra cup holders and parent console that I love.
The front seat reclines slightly, and in the rear, there is a bench seat for your older children, along with cup holders. Tandem strollers make it easy to maneuver around crowds, and their narrow width means you definitely stay without the dimension restrictions for Disney World.
This stroller accommodates up to two infant car seats at a time – sold separately. It holds a total of 100lbs or 50lbs for each seat.
There are a few downsides. The front canopy for the seat is small, and there is no back canopy at all. However, you could buy a separate sunshade and rain cover considering the great price!
5. Joovy Caboose Stand-on Tandem Stroller
If you like the two-in-one systems that give you versatility and flexibility, you’ll love the Joovy Caboose. It is an excellent sit and stand stroller with multiple reclining positions to keep both of your children happy and comfortable.
Not only does the Caboose save space, but the four-wheel suspension makes maneuvering throughout the crowd a breeze.
Both seats are reclinable, and if you have an active or older child, you can remove the rear seat, allowing one child to stand and ride. The Joovy Caboose accommodates older children up to 45lbs, so it has a high enough weight limit to ensure you use it for years to come.
For parents with multiple children of different ages, this is a great choice, but the rear canopy doesn’t offer much coverage, and the front seat doesn’t recline. So, if you have a new baby, this won’t work well for you.

If you want a double lightweight stroller on a budget, I suggest the Kolcraft Cloud Plus. This stroller weighs 23lbs, and each seat has a 40 pound weight limit.
Another reason the Kolcraft Cloud Plus is excellent for Disney is that it has plenty of storage options like a large basket, cup holders, and more. The folding system is easy to use, and the stroller folds nearly flat. Plus, when it’s folded, it stands on its own.
Each seat has its own independent canopy that is a large size. However, one downside is that the seats won’t recline as far as other ones on the list. So, this is best for older infants and toddlers rather than young babies without proper neck and head control.
