You can choose to decorate for some self care time or bring your kids into the fun. There is inspiration for either option and maybe even a mix of both. Incorporate items you already have such as Christmas trees, plants, china, place settings, or even bookshelves.

Lucky Charms Tree

Lucky charms all over your Christmas tree is WOW! I can’t pick my favorite decoration on this. If you have decided to keep your tree up for different holidays, this is a must try idea!

Keep your decorations simple. Adding a splash of green and a cute sign to your table will bring just enough of the holiday fun to your home.
Balloon Wall

This may be a little extra but trust me when I say it would be super fun to look at and take some photos in front of. You can wake your kids up with a Balloon wall to celebrate the luck of the day.
Simple Kitchen Centerpieces

I love that with St. Patricks, you can keep decoration as simple as you’d like. Adding a cute tray to your kitchen area will make it a central decorated point.
Subtle Mantel Look

Spice up your mantel with St. Patricks Day. You can either by a pre-made shamrock garland or create one with your littles.
Themed Bookshelf

Don’t forget cute areas such as your littles bookshelf! I LOVE this idea even if you aren’t looking to decorate in other parts of the house, this is a great way to bring the holiday to your learning time.
Tiered St. Patty’s Decor

Little knick·knacks to fill a tiered tray is a fantastic idea to decorate with. If you have multiple, you can place them in places throughout your home such as your dinning room, living room, even your bathrooms.
Make them extra fun and add some candy or a festive candle.
Outdoor Lucky Fun

Take your pot of gold and burry it outside… or at least decorate your porch! Green lights and cute inflatables will bring your neighborhood some fun!
Repurposed Decorations

If St. Patricks day is a holiday you don’t like to heavily splurge on- don’t worry! There are still ways to decorate with a smaller budget. This idea is reusing Pelligrino glass bottles and other items already on hand.
Cute, festive and repurposed… now that’s holding onto your pot of gold!
Cozy Spot of St. Patricks

If there is a particular part of your home that offers that coziness, implement some cute holiday decor there. Whether that is with green and gold bowls or cups or maybe even some shamrock printed items- you will bring some spirit to that area.
Green Tablescape

Such a lovely table set up! Maybe you’ve been gifted items that fit the holiday or even go thrifting to find them. Don’t be afraid to add tradition or mix and match to bring your St. Patricks day decoration to life.
Double Themed Tablescape

What a genius idea to incorporate both St. Patricks Day and spring time. Spring is just shortly after the holiday and how cool would it be to be decorated for both already?
Keeping the green theme but minimizing St. Patricks Day focused prints will give you the green, golden vibe but with flowers, bunnies, or other pastel colors.
St. Patricks Wreath

A wreath will bring a nice pinch of decoration to your home. If you are wanting to add this along with additional decor, you can’t go wrong! If you aren’t trying to go all out but still want a touch of magic, this is quite a lovely way to do so.
Homemade Decor

This DIY is terrific! These sun catchers not only make a great craft but they add a warm feeling to your decorations. Your kids can choose a window facing their front or backyard. Maybe even some to wake up to if they have windows in their rooms.
St. Patricks Day Trees

Double Trees? Double Yes! Slim Trees are stunning pieces in your home and as you can see here- they can be used throughout the year. Add a little green to the bottom, shamrock garland and a cute hat right on top.
Lucky Lad, Sassy Lassie

Cutesy St. Patrick items are a great touch to your decorations. If you peak to the back you’ll see those extra cute signs and hints of green from the plants. Beautiful and clean!
Rainbow Magic

I think this is one of my favorites because wow! Just look at the rainbow decor throughout! There is a pot of gold somewhere in this home and a lucky leprechaun will find it.
I want to note that in this example, they got really creative with items that fit the holiday. You can clearly see there are St. Patricks items but they incorporated patterns that go with it as well.
Rainbow Ballon Garland

Another fun and simplified idea for balloons that will look super cute for St. Patricks Day decorations. If you are wanting to decorate for that day (or a few days in advance) for your littles, consider a balloon garland.
You can even set this up with their DIY leprechaun trap they set up the night before to really attract that sneaky leprechaun.

Clover Fun

This is a great decoration item your little can help with. They’ll enjoy making some four leaf clovers to bring luck to the day. Hang this over your mantle, bookshelf, coffee bar or even your kitchen island.
St. Patricks China Decor

Do you have a china cabinet? If you do, are you decorating it? While that sounds strange, this photo really shows… it’s not strange at all! It’s a pretty great idea to get some extra adorable use out of it.
Your home is your happy place so just know there’s no rules to follow. Get some extra use from that lovely china looking beautiful!
Shamrock Dinning Room

This is calling your name if you are planning a St. Patricks Day full of fun and activities. The place mats, mini hats, rainbow candy surprises- it’s all wonderful!
What kid wouldn’t love to see this fun awaiting them as they wake up?
All Out for St. Patty’s

I know I LOVE Christmas lights and goodness this is giving me all the vibes of Christmas but on St. Patricks Day! That is lucky if you ask me.
Get some extra use of your outdoor lights and throw in some inflatables to have a St. Patricks Wonderland!
Irish Colors

Tradition is truly what’s important. Honoring the traditional colors and flag is a lovely way to decorate for the holiday.
A Splash of St. Patricks Day

This farmhouse styled dining room sprinkled in St. Patricks Day decorations is another one of my favorites. It’s a very classy and muted look that still incorporates the holiday. Finding items on the more pale side will help give you this look.
Extra Green Tree

You could’ve fooled me that this was a Christmas tree. If you have a tall and slim tree, you can accomplish a more subtle look. Adding greenery is one of my favorite ways to decorate for St. Patricks day and this look shows a lovely way to do so.
As you wrap up your St. Patrick’s Day decorating, remember that it’s all about creating a cozy, joyful atmosphere in your home. Whether you’ve gone all out with vibrant rainbows and shamrocks or kept it subtle with just a few pops of greenery, every little touch adds to the magic of the season.
It’s the perfect time to celebrate with your family, bringing a little luck and a lot of smiles to your space! The beauty of St. Patrick’s Day decorations is that they can be as bold or as understated as you like. From tiny clover accents tucked into shelves to bold green wreaths on your front door, each detail creates a festive vibe without overwhelming the room.
No matter how you choose to decorate, the most important thing is enjoying the process and sharing the joy with your loved ones. Find what style works for you and your home and embrace that warmth. Sip on some hot cocoa surrounded by rainbows or simply admire your greenery throughout your days.
These little touches will fill your home with warmth, laughter, and a sprinkle of Irish luck. Happy decorating, and may the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day bring you plenty of cheer!
