The focal point of this bedroom is the tufted low profile platform bed frame and the light blue rug with fringe – I love it!

Another look in this coastal bedroom that I like are the ceramic table lamps. Pottery Barn sells these same lamps in darker colors as well.

If you love the Harbour Cane Bed, it also comes in white! This color makes the bed pop even more, and I like the soft blue pillows.

The blue rug under the white frame looks great together, along with the wicker floor mirror and palm leave tree in the corner. Pops of green make the small space feel more airy.

Tones of Blue Color Palette

If you aren’t all about the neutral tones, bring some tones of blue into your space. It doesn’t have to be bright blue; sometimes, all you need is a few light blue lamps or light blue throw pillows to bring that beachy theme to life in your bedroom.

I love that beaded chandelier and big picture window that brings in plenty of natural light!

Blue also can come into your coastal bedroom in other ways.

Try a light blue arm chair with a matching ottoman for a cozy reading spot. Grab a blue chest of drawers instead of the traditional wood dresser. Spread a light blue quilt over your bed.

Be creative with how you bring the color into your space!

The light tone goes well with the sheer, floor-length curtains that allow plenty of light in frost all the windows. The simple tree between the window adds just the right amount of greenery to this space.

Another thing to notice is that not all the furniture has to match – look at the night stands. They’re different; coastal also means relaxed not sterile.

Natural Materials & Jute Rug

Serena & Lily created this inspiring coastal bedroom with the braided rug, wicker pendant lighting, and fun pops of blue. The Tall Hyde Bed is a unique focal point, featuring blue spirals on the sides and headboard.
