13 Modern Coastal Dining Room Ideas

As we worked our way through renovating our home into my modern coastal home dream, we came to the dining room, and I spent weeks researching modern coastal dining room ideas. Modern coastal is no longer the beach theme with bright colors we think of; the colors are more natural and muted with crisp whites, deep blues, and neutral tones that work together.

Everyone does this coastal style a bit different, but I love the modern feel. It blended the farmhouse look that seems to be the rage for the last decade with the light, neutral tones with the relaxed beach house feel.

  • Light woods
  • Natural fiber rug
  • Woven fixtures
  • Blues in all shades
  • Neutral tones
  • Cotton and linen fabrics
  • Baskets
